Reese Witherspoon Media Firm Sale Hands Starring Roles to Kirkland, Gibson Dunn

Kirkland & Ellis and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher have won mandates on the sale of actor Reese Witherspoon’s media firm to a newly-formed media firm backed by investment giant Blackstone Group.

Media firm Hello Sunshine agreed on Tuesday to a majority investment from a newly-formed company run by former TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer and former Walt Disney Company chief operating officer and current Spotify board member Tom Staggs, backed by Blackstone, according to a statement by the investment company.
