A former Shearman & Sterling and Dewey & LeBoeuf partner has been subject to an extradition request to his native Germany, where he is wanted to stand trial for his alleged leading role in the ongoing ‘cum-ex’ scandal.
Hanno Berger, a prominent German tax lawyer who was due to stand trial since last June, has been living in Switzerland, according to German and Swiss authorities, from which Germany has sought his extradition.
