Seeing a massive gap in the training of young lawyers, a Toronto corporate lawyer and some colleagues have created an innovative new training program that’s free for the 100 law students who clamored to sign up for the first cohort.
Launching June 7, the 4L Academy will not only teach the nitty-gritty of corporate law and litigation but also aims to combat the stress and anxiety many young lawyers feel, said Aaron Baer, a former corporate partner at Aird & Berlis who this week joined Montreal-based digital law firm Renno & Co as a partner and director of training and development.
