British lawyers based in Paris can continue advising clients on English and international law after Brexit, French authorities have confirmed.
After months of debate, the Conseil National du Barreau (CNB), or National Bar Council, and the French government have concluded that the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, ratified on Tuesday by the European Parliament, enables UK-qualified lawyers to register as ‘foreign legal consultants’ (FLC) both for temporary and permanent practice.
