Most law school students working this summer at firms across Canada will not set foot in a law office, as the majority of large firms continue to have their lawyers and staff work predominantly from home.

But the lessons learned last year have resulted in stronger programs for all students to learn about a firm’s culture and get the work experience they need. Much of what was done last year, including a creative leveraging of technology, is being carried over to 2021, as the programs had unforeseen positive consequences—for students and firms.
