A lawyer who recently disclosed that she had left Australian law firm Allens after being sexually harassed by a colleague says she has since been contacted by other female lawyers who suffered sexual harassment at law firms, adding that such behavior remains a huge problem in the law firm world.

“It’s actually a massive problem and I think it’s one that’s been ignored for a long time,” said Fiona Thatcher, who was a junior associate at the Australian corporate firm’s Brisbane office in 2015 when a colleague sent her lewd and aggressive text messages demanding sex and arriving uninvited at her Brisbane apartment after midnight one night.
