Former Kirkland & Ellis partner Chris Townsend has joined Ropes & Gray as a counsel, Ropes announced in a statement on Monday.
Townsend’s hire is the most recent example of London expansion at Ropes, which earlier in March boosted its ranks with two partners in the same week. Those hires were indicative of a frantic lateral hiring market in the city currently.
