King & Wood Mallesons advised the Bank of Queensland (BOQ) in its A$1.325 billion (US$1.05 billion) acquisition of digital rival ME bank and the capital raising needed to fund the deal, while Australian firm Arnold Bloch Leibler advised the smaller bank.

KWM said it advised BOQ on all aspects of the transaction, combining mergers and acquisitions, banking, insurance, IT/IP, competition and equity capital markets expertise to help execute the acquisition and associated A$1.35 billion (US$1.07 billion) equity raising to fund it.
