A newly formed partnership of leading Canadian law firms has committed $1.75 million Canadian dollars (US$1.4 million) to a program designed to support and engage undergraduate students who want to become lawyers.
The Black Future Lawyers program (BFL) is a collaboration between the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, its Black Law Students Association and Black alumni. BFL will foster opportunities for Black students interested in law, build relationships with universities across Canada, reduce barriers to applying to law school and support Black students in their journey to law school.
