Alston & Bird, Amid Busy Lateral Hiring Year, Boosts Profits
Profit per equity partner increased 8.1% to $2,434,000 in a year when the firm added the highest number of lateral partners in its history. After opening a London office in 2019, Alston hired six partners and increased its London head count to 19 lawyers.

In what chairman Richard Hays called a “strong but odd year,” Alston & Bird’s revenue and profit increased in 2020 as the firm saw heavy demand for partner time and work spiked by the end of the year.
