The U.K. Supreme Court has ruled that Uber drivers should be classified as ‘workers’, entitling them to such rights as minimum wage and holiday pay, in a long-awaited decision handed down on Friday.

The decision comes after a group of Uber drivers argued, before an Employment Tribunal in 2016, that they were entitled to similar legal protections afforded to employees under U.K. law. The findings were later upheld by the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.
