Jones Day confirmed Tuesday that it had client data obtained by the hacking group Clop after a third-party vendor was targeted, making it the second big firm in two weeks to say it was affected by the breach.

As Law.com reported on Feb. 3, a cybersecurity firm called Accellion saw a breach affecting one of its legacy products, File Transfer Appliance. Goodwin Procter was affected by that breach, which it learned about in late January. At the time, it was not known who was behind the breach or if any of the other law firms listed on Accellion’s website as clients had been compromised.
