The international arbitration market was rocked yesterday with the news that an eight-partner team was leaving Shearman & Sterling to launch their own firm, led by global practice founder and head Emmanuel Gaillard.
The firm, which will have offices in Paris, London and New York, will also take 30 Shearman associates, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.
