The firm still has Southeast Asian offices in Singapore and Vietnam although Hanoi no longer has resident lawyer based in the office after the firm restructured the Vietnam practice in 2019.

Mayer Brown has closed its Bangkok office and former office chief Maythawee Sarathai has left to join U.S. firm Hunton Andrews Kurth.
“Following a strategic review and after careful consideration, we made the very difficult decision to close our Bangkok office at the end of 2020,” the firm said, in a statement.
