White & Case has hired a new partner in Tokyo specializing in debt financing deals.
Clara Shirota joins from Clifford Chance where she was a Hong Kong-based consultant advising on leveraged finance transactions as well as high-yield bond offers. In 2019, she was part of a team advising the financing matters on Permira’s buyout of Hong Kong-based Topcast Aviation Supplies Co. Ltd. In 2017, she was part of Clifford Chance’s representation of Hong Kong telecom carrier WTT Investment Ltd.’s $670 million high-yield offer.
