Clifford Chance has appointed Beijing-based Yong Bai as its Greater China head of antitrust as Chinese authorities ramp up new rounds of anti-monopoly enforcements targeting the country’s largest technology companies.
Bai takes over from Richard Blewett, who’s relocated to Brussels this past summer from Hong Kong after spending six years in the firm’s China offices. Blewett had led Clifford Chance’s China antitrust practice since 2014 when the Chinese government became active in pursuing antitrust enforcement actions.
