Law firms are bullish about the recovery of trade and investment in Africa, as COVID-19 infections dwindle, borders reopen and lockdowns relax across the continent.

“Unsurprisingly, African M&A has seen a drop in both value and volume during 2020 relative to previous years,” said Peter Cromberge, senior analyst at Mergermarket.
