As law firms commit to allowing their lawyers to work remotely more often amid the coronavirus lockdown, top lawyers in the U.K. have raised questions about how the moves might affect salaries.

On Friday, PwC’s U.K. head of legal services Ed Stacey told Law.com International that he thinks the gap in salaries between London and Northern English hubs like Manchester will come under scrutiny given that lawyers are no longer commuting to the office on a daily basis.
