Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Nishimura & Asahi, Mori, Hamada & Matsumoto, Nakamura Tsunoda & Matsumoto and Hibiya Sogo Law Offices have secured roles as legal advisors on Japan’s largest ever tender offer.

NTT Docomo, one of Japan’s largest mobile phone operators, is set to be taken over by its parent company, Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (NTT). for $40 billion. The deal is expected to close in the fiscal year ending March 31. Once completed, Docomo will be delisted from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
