Lord Jonathan Sumption has warned the legal industry will be disproportionately damaged by a long-term move towards remote working.

In a keynote speech to more than 200 litigation practitioners on Wednesday at The Commercial Litigators’ Forum Autumn Reception – itself an online event – the former U.K. Supreme Court judge said: “There are obvious advantages in being able to communicate visually without travelling anywhere, but there are disadvantages which I think deserve greater emphasis than they usually receive.”
