Slaughter and May and Linklaters have won roles to advise on the latest multi-million pound M&A bid in the gambling sector, after American casino operator Caesars Entertainment launched an offer to acquire U.K. bookmaker William Hill.
The recent flurry of deals between U.S. and U.K. gambling companies follows a U.S. Supreme Court ruling made in 2018 that paved the way for sports betting to be legalised across the states, with several law firms picking up work in the sector.
