Lawyers in Hong Kong and Macau will soon be able work in nine mainland Chinese cities in neighboring Guangdong province on a trial basis following a decision adopted by China’s top legislature on Tuesday.

The three-year trial program aims to further implement China’s Greater Bay Area (GBA) scheme, which seeks to foster closer ties between the two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau and nine cities in Guangdong including Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
