Lawyers have expressed data privacy concerns over the the U.K. government’s new ‘track and trace’ programme, which has been developed to help contain the spread of the coronavirus.
According to the NHS track and trace website, personal data submitted by users with COVID-19 symptoms will be kept by Public Health England for 20 years, while data for those without symptoms will also be kept for half a decade.
