Kirkland & Ellis and DLA Piper have taken roles on the collapse of childrenswear shop Mamas & Papas, days after the shop’s high street competitor Mothercare met the same fate.
The company’s current owner Bluegem Capital has bought its assets back through a pre-pack administration, according to Mamas & Papas. The retailer added that it had made 73 staff redundant and six stores will be shut, while 21 stores will remain in operation.
