American Airlines and LATAM Airlines, an airline based in Santiago, Chile, have been hit with a lawsuit filed under Title III of the 1996 Helms-Burton Act.
The suit makes American Airlines the second U.S. company to be sued under the Helms-Burton Act. Carnival Cruise Lines was hit with the first such suit in May.
