Hogan Lovells has re-hired Herbert Smith Freehills environmental, health and safety partner Louise Moore to its London office.
Moore, who will transfer to Hogan Lovells in early 2014, re-joins the firm after seven years at Herbert Smith, which she joined in 2007 as a partner.
She originally trained with Hogan Lovells legacy firm Lovells, where she made partner in 1999.
Moore has a transactional and regulatory environment practice with a sector focus on energy, M&A private equity and major projects, advising clients including Energy Capital Partners, Chevron, BP and EDF.
"Louise has a strong global reputation for environmental work," commented co-head of Hogan Lovells' corporate group Andrew Skipper. "Her skills and experience in the field speak for themselves and she is a great fit with our practice, complementing perfectly our corporate, disputes and energy and infrastructure teams."
"I have been impressed by the calibre and strength of the international environmental practice and am really looking forward to re-joining the team here in London," added Moore.
The appointment is the latest in a string of lateral recruitments for Hogan Lovells' London office in recent weeks. The firm also signed up SJ Berwin private equity partner Ed Harris, and Field Fisher Waterhouse privacy and information group head Eduardo Ustaran, who is currently being held to an 18-month notice period.
However, the firm's European operations took a blow in September when Morrison & Foerster took Hogan Lovells' entire Berlin office. MoFo's third European base, which officially opened this week, includes a 30-strong team of lawyers, and a similar number of support staff.
