Germany’s newest independent firm is set to make its mark on Berlin’s legal market following top 10 UK firm Lovells’ decision to axe its 20-lawyer office in the country’s capital.

In February next year, Lovells Berlin partners Johannes Meinel, Benedikt Braeutigam and Jan-Peter Heyer expect to launch an independent, 10-lawyer firm focusing on the middle market – dealing with transactions from €10m to €100m in size.
