James Chapman & Co has sealed a merger deal with Manchester’s Halliwells, it has emerged, ending months of speculation over the future of the Manchester stalwart.
The 37-partner insurance specialist has been hunting for potential merger targets since the autumn, as reported by Legal Week (4 November), and this week agreed heads of terms with the expansive top 40 national firm.
