The Law Society’s conflict investigations into Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Allen & Overy (A&O) are in their final stages, it has emerged, with both set for a resolution in early 2006.
Law Society insiders have indicated that the investigation into Freshfields’ role acting for Philip Green on a £9bn bid for Marks & Spencer (M&S) is expected to be concluded by February.
