Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has hired Yodoyabashi & Yamagami partner Shintaro Kuroda to its Tokyo office. Kuroda focuses on IT and transactional work, corporate transactions and equity capital markets. The hire follows a concerted effort by Orrick to strengthen in the region.
In August, it hired nine Coudert Brothers partners in China, where the firm has applied to open offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
