What is it like to be managing partner of a large international law firm? Not anything like you would expect, if my own experience is anything to go by.
I joined McKenna & Co (as the firm was then called) as an articled clerk (as trainees were then called) in 1983 with lots of uncertainty in my mind about what lawyers in large firms did and whether or not I would be any good at it.
