The revamped Silk selection scheme has received fewer than expected applications, with just 440 candidates competing for the first batch of QC awards in three years.
The figure, which has been released by Queen’s Counsel Appointments (QCA), is roughly in line with the previous number of applicants that used to apply annually to the Government-run Silk selection scheme.
