Pavia & Ansaldo last week finally agreed exit terms with breakaway practice Agnoli Bernardi & Associati eight months after the split was first announced as the Italian stalwart shakes up its structure and strategy.

The two sides signed the definitive agreement on 11 October, which sees five partners leave Pavia to form new 45-lawyer practice Agnoli Bernardi & Associati. As first reported in Legal Week in February, the two sides initially became divided over strategy. The exiting team is headed by ex-managing partner Marcello Agnoli, along with partners Maurizio Bernardi, Paolo Berruti, Francesca Lodigiani and Giorgio Spanio.
