Former Herbert Smith lawyer Stefan Rick-etts has been promoted to overall general counsel at BG Group as the bluechip moves to finalise a review of its legal advisers.
Ricketts, who joined BG Group’s legal department from Herbert Smith in 1999, takes over the group general counsel role from high-profile energy lawyer Bill Friedrich, who had held the role of both general counsel and deputy CEO since 2000.
