Law Society chief executive Janet Paraskeva has bagged her second non-executive board appointment in the space of a month, fuelling speculation that a shake up of the top brass at Chancery Lane is inevitable.

Paraskeva will net £20,000 a year for 15 days full-time work as a non-executive director of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), the Government’s new-look policing agency, which is due to launch in April 2006.
