Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has applied for a licence to open its first office in China. The San Francisco giant has submitted an application to the Chinese Ministry of Justice to launch a base in Shanghai.
The office will be its third Asian base behind Tokyo and Taipei, which the firm re-launched last month after losing its local team to Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld earlier this year.
