Govt targets NHS claims as legal reform plans pile up

Clinical negligence lawyers are braced for fresh upheaval after the Government last week announced reforms aimed at slashing the NHS’ legal costs.

The NHS Redress Bill, one of a series of legislative measures in the Queen’s Speech on 17 May, is aimed at speeding up the handling of small compensation claims.
