The National Lottery Commission has kicked off a search for legal advisers on the next lottery licence award in what promises to be one of the most high-profile public law instructions ever farmed out to a commercial law firm.
The Commission is this month calling for pitches from law firms to advise on the bid process for the next licence, which will begin in earnest in 2006, before a candidate to run the lottery is chosen in 2007.
