New York litigation powerhouse Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison has seen partner profits surge to break the $2m (£1.07m) barrier as Manhattan’s legal elite continue to post double-digit financial increases.

The firm saw 2004 revenue up by 14% to reach $504m (£270m) while profits per partner hit $2.157m (£1.15m), against the 2003′s $1.84m (£985,000).
