The Bar Council is committed to ensuring that the profession continues to offer legal services of the very highest quality and has phased in compulsory continuing professional development (CPD) training for all practising barristers.
Commercial practitioners may claim, with some justification, that continuing professional development is part and parcel of every conscientious commercial barrister’s practice. Barristers receive many requests to attend lectures, give seminars and write articles, and they regularly do so.
