Sir David Clementi was asked to explore the case for sweeping away many of the restrictions governing the delivery of legal services.
He has not surprised, but neither has he disappointed. His plan for Legal Disciplinary Practices (LDPs) is radical and not a little frightening for lawyers of a conservative bent, many but by no means all of whom inhabit the Bar Council.
