CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre has boosted its European Union (EU)/competition practice with the hire of former European Court of Justice (ECJ) judge Melchior Wathelet as of counsel. Wathelet joins the Brussels arm of the Paris-based firm on 1 January, 2005 after eight years as a judge at the ECJ. Wathelet is to focus on Europe, competition and industry and commerce regulations, as well as working for the EU law and practice group.
