A diverse group of firms including Lovells, Herbert Smith and Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has emerged as leading financial performers according to a three-year breakdown of the City’s top 20 law firms.
The figures, which come as Legal Week publishes its 2003/04 results for the UK’s top 50 law firms, underlines the wide divergence in firms’ performance since 2001, when many London practices saw profits hit an all-time high.
