The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is predicting a major boost in its funding with its budget set to rise by as much as £11m over a two-year period.

The figures come in the SFO’s annual report, published on 19 July. They show that the government-funded agency was handed £33.2m for the year 2003-04 – a significant increase on last year when expenditure was set at £26.3m.
