Osborne Clarke (OC) has advised venture capital house Piper Private Equity on the management buy-out of sports nutrition supplier Maximuscle. Corporate partner Alisdair Livingstone led the OC team, while vendor Zef Eisinberg was advised by corporate partner Simon Pollock of Berwin Leighton Paisner in a deal valued at £9.7m.
SJ Berwin, led by corporate partner Martin Bowen, advised UK-based venture capitalists and long-standing client Strathdon Investments on its merger with Invesco techMARK Enterprise Trust (IET) in a deal worth about £25m. IET was advised by Herbert Smith‘s Michael Shaw in a move that sees IET step down to the Alternative Investment Market.
