Herbert Smith has continued its recent work for long-standing client Hammerson, advising on the sale of the Euston Square Estate for £124m to a private company within the Scarborough Group, as well as advising on the sale of its Minories Estate, EC3, to a subsidiary of the Beetham organisation. Real estate partner Don Rowlands led on both transactions. In February Herbert Smith acted for Hammerson on the £47.7m sale of 21 Moorfields.
Eversheds partner Toby Askin acted for Hammerson on the £20m joint venture with the Local Authorities Mutual Investment Trust (LAMIT) to develop Attwood House in Birmingham. Advising LAMIT was Lovells, with John Condliffe leading the team.
