Cayman Islands-based offshore specialist Maples & Calder has splashed out on a major IT upgrade of its London office to the tune of £150,000 as part of a new firm-wide IT strategy.
The contract for the London upgrade, which covers hardware, software systems and support services, was awarded to AIM Technical Services despite a strong bid for the work from Ramesys, the large IT services group. AIM has now installed servers, PCs and peripherals, for Maples & Calder and is providing IT support remotely over a virtual private network.
