Arnold & Porter has boosted its Brussels arm with the hire of the veteran chief of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition’s (DCG) food and pharmaceuticals unit. Luc Gyselen will join the Washington DC firm’s two-partner Brussels branch on 1 July after five years as the director of the DCG unit. Arnold & Porter chairman Michael Sohn said: “An EU official of his reputation and expertise adds depth to our international antitrust group and our competition capabilities.”
