A Slaughter and May conflict has given Herbert Smith and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett the lead roles in TDR Capital’s bid for restaurant chain ASK Central, handing the pair their first instructions from the client.
The TDR bid, worth more than £200m, now looks certain to go through, after it trumped rival Restaurant Group’s £170m bid.
