Nomura: Nomura has appointed Linklaters’ former international chief Terrence Kyle as its new general counsel, taking charge of the Japanese investment bank’s multi-million pound legal budget. Kyle, who retired from his role of US managing partner at Linklaters in July last year, started his new role on 5 January.

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young: Cap Gemini Ernst & Young has recruited Barry Wong from IBM to head their UK and Ireland legal team as the general counsel. Wong will lead a team of six in-house lawyers based in the company’s UK headquarters in Woking, Surrey. Prior to his four-year spell at IBM, Wong worked at a number of UK law firms including Norton Rose and Allen & Overy.
